Great Flood
Anders lives aboard the fishing boat with seven others: Eris, Aria, Miri, Robert, Celia, Julie, and a man whose name is never mentioned. He and Robert try to keep a positive attitude aboard the boat, in hopes of keeping morale high. When Aria struggles to understand her parents’ death, Anders consoles her and keeps her distracted.
Death
A rowboat drifts by the fishing boat, and its occupants ask for water. Anders, in an attempt to politely decline, states he doesn’t have any he can share. However, the captian of the rowboat does not take that answer well. He pulls a gun out and threatens murder if they don’t hand over their water. Anders, in his attempt to resolve the situation diplomatically, takes too long to respond and gets shot in the head.
